Teagan Visits the 70s

I had the 70s on the brain after watching Hair the other night on Hulu. In my excitement over some new textures for the Hair Fair I went running to show my friend, Renee Lowenhart, some of the fun stuff. She had on this gorgeous outfit that screamed 70s. She told me that she had gotten it at Cilian’gel Fashion and that it was a Relay for Life item. The outfit comes with many options(short dress, gown, flared jumpsuit) to get the look your want.  Could this outfit get any better? 70s, RFL, and orange. I knew the perfect hair to wear with this outfit was over at Gritty Kitty. His Kinder style comes with the color changing band and feathers so you can make it match your outfit.

My Penguin is Loco

Damien Fate of Loco Pocos gas released Poco Pals which are stuffie versions of his Loco Pocos tiny avatars.   Each Poco Pal is scripted with a full range of options to customize your stuffie.   There are options to change gender, hold animation, facial expression, fur, shirt, pants, skirt, eye color, and you can even name your special pal.

Na Na Na Na BATGIRL!

Hello there!

Today I put together an outfit that I couldn’t resist blogging some of the pieces aren’t that new. But cute just the same.  After my last post I decided that I rather like blogging when I can put it all in a picture like the one below!

Once I can figure out how to do those SLURL’s I’ll post them. But the names of all the stores are in there.

We run we jump we..Oh.. Hai!

So it’s been awhile since I’ve put together a post for bloggin’ but recently one store has pulled me out of my funk and has kept me smilin’ with each release and free group gift! And that store is REEK! If you’ve not heard of it yet, you don’t know what you’re missing! Riq Graves provides the grid with all the cute it can handle in the form of belts and t-shirts.  Not only are his products amazing,  so is his customer service (and I think I know a bit about that myself ) want to buy a t-shirt or belt for someone? He’ll do that too.  If  you happen to his store on starlust you might just catch him there.

There are three different belts you can purchase.

1. I heart Themes: 16 different textures from Tetris and Duck Hunt to Gumby
2. I heart Stripes: 23 different stripey selections!
3. I heart Colors:  a whopping 30 color choices and 9 texture options

The belts come with two different attachment points (pelvis & stomach) and a re-size script for easy fitting. There are also several awesome T-Shirts, you can get two free packs if you join his subscribe-o-matic.  “Ohai” & “Dude” there is one in each for girls and boys! Then there are the 5L shirts. “Rawr!” and “Bangin’” <- which I am wearing in the picture above.

If you’re nerdy like me (or old enough to get the reference) you’ll fall in love with the “Camp Anawanna” t-shirt a tribute to Nickelodeon’s “Salute your shorts”.  And yes it had me singing the theme song.. We run we jump we swim and play we row and go on trips…   And lets not forget the ever adorable “Cupcake graveyard” t-shirt which features a stomach full of dead cupcakes.. nom.

Food Challenge: Breakfast is Served

I have a simple challenge for everyone. Show us your best food related fashion. I have been watching too many Food Network Challenges I think.

Those that know us, know that Laynie and I have ongoing things about bacon and cupcakes. I went the bacon route with the Bacon skirt w/ Sunny Side Up Egg pasties that was from last August. It is still at Nooby Doo’s for $1L. I wore the matching Bacon and Egg earrings that Laynie made just before Valentine’s Day. The hair was a texture I played around with for April Fool’s Day before the BaconHawk came about. Are you getting hungry yet? What foods do you love to wear in Second Life?

Fashionble Relay Challenge

Monicuzza Babenco from Feel Beautiful handed me the baton for the Fashionable Relay Challenge.

When I first saw Monicuzza’s blog I thought, OMG, I have to have that skirt to use and then I realized it was the skirt Dove used and it is the only item I could not use for my blog. I decided to go with what I love best and use the Dana style from 0 Style. Now I was left to build the rest of the outfit. The skin was an easy pick for me because I have a custom version of the Kalista skin that I ordered from Tuli. Speaking of Tuli, she had sent me a landmark to a shop called Good Look where I found this fantastic denim jacket that comes on a jacket and shirt layer options. I knew the jacket would look great with leather pants so I went with a black pair that I had picked up at Refuge.  I remembered that Sasy has prompted a recent shopping spree of mine and I haven’t had a chance to wear what I bought.   Sasy had taken me to Fifferling, crawling rats and all, where I picked up cute Hello Kitty themed Neko boots, ears, and tail.   I thought these items would finished my look but then I came across Bag of Fish at Catnip that made the outfit complete.

I wish Newdoll Nikolaidis good luck with the next leg of the relay.

Those Poses are Striking

Achariya challenged bloggers to pick 5 poses from your favorite posemaker and feature them in a blog. The only problem is I love all my poses in my collection so I couldn’t decide who was the favorite. Instead I chose my most often used posemaker instead. I tend to use my Striking Pose collection the most because it fits the needs for both this blog and Savoir Hair. I do love my other pose collections as well from Boudoir Rouge, Digital Dragon Designs, Imperial Elegance, Inari, Long Awkward Pose, Persona,Spirit, Pudge, StoRin, Studio Sidhe, and Vain Inc.

Recently, Rowan Carroll held a Stuido 54 party for Mardi Gras and this challenge gave me the excuse I needed to show off the fun outfit I found that fit that theme perfectly. With visions of gold lame in my head I discovered the perfect outfit at *Cross*. The outfit comes with 3 styles to chose from and has matching boots.

I have found that Zelly Mornington is always open to suggestions as long as they are clear. It is best of offer the suggestions with pictures. This has lead to two of my favorite collections from Striking Pose: Lea Thompson and Claudia Cardinale.

The poses I chose from Striking Pose I think best show off the outfit and have the feel of the disco era of the 70s.  Not only are Zelly’s poses fun to use her dollarbie poses are also great quality.   I recently when through her xStreet listing to make sure I was not missing any and discovered I somehow missed Foxy Brown which is the perfect 70s pose.

A Good Little School Doll

Uma set forth a challenge “to come up with your little crazy/cute/gothy/odd/surreal/circus doll-like version”. I wasn’t sure what direction to go with this when I came across the short brown skirt while exploring one of the Japanese sims. The store called +*susie*+ also sells some really great slayer-esque items.  The shirt is the mauve buttondown shirt from Laynie’s old brand that she is reintroducing to ~Tea Lane~.  Laynie inspired the hair decision while we were chatting about the cute hair BP* gave out for the Starlust Hunt.  A search of xStreet lead to me to the perfect stockings for the skirt from CKS Designs. The hardest decision on this look was finding the right skin.   I went through many of my skins looking for the right fit and rediscovered the Clara Bow skin line from SinSkins whose pouty lips made for the perfect doll-like mouth. I finished the look with lollies from Shiny Things and a heart necklace and pair of earrings from Caroline’s Jewelry.
